Useful Tools

tmux

Tmux (https://github.com/tmux/tmux) is a terminal multiplexer allowing you to run remote ssh sessions independently from your connection status. For keyboard shortcuts read https://www.tmuxcheatsheet.com. The ones I use mostly:
  • New terminal: CTRL + B and then C
  • Previous opened terminal: CTRL + B and then P

ncdu

ncdu can show on a terminal the file and directory sizes and you can browse them in the terminal to find file that use too much space.

Bash scripts

If you wrote a bash script and you need a tool to verify your code, use shellcheck (https://github.com/koalaman/shellcheck).
